The present invention pertains to a secondary cell having an electrode element in which a positive electrode and a negative electrode are disposed facing each other, an electrolyte, and an outer case surrounding the electrode element and the electrolyte, wherein the secondary cell is characterized in that the negative electrode contains a negative-electrode active substance (a) that stores or releases lithium ions at a potential under 1.0 V with respect to lithium, and a negative-electrode active substance (b) that stores or releases lithium ions at a potential of 1.0 V or more with respect to lithium, and a coating derived from a phosphorus compound added to the electrolyte is formed on the surface of the positive electrode. According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a lithium-ion secondary cell obtained using a high-energy positive electrode, wherein the generation of gas in the secondary cell is suppressed. |
