<p>The present invention relates to a fuel tank fastening strap and a method of manufacturing the same. The fuel tank fastening strap comprises: a fuel tank supporting portion formed in the shape of a strap and supporting the lower surface of a vehicle's fuel tank; a pin inserting portion extending from one end of the fuel tank supporting portion and having a bent portion formed on the terminal end thereof, and having an overlapping portion formed on the inner side thereof in which a top plate and a bottom plate overlap; and a screw fastening portion extending from the other end of the fuel tank supporting portion and having a bent portion formed on the terminal end thereof, and having an overlapping portion formed on the inner side thereof in which a top plate and a bottom plate overlap, wherein the top plate and the bottom plate of the overlapping portion are fixed by catching portions that project from the sides of the top plate or the bottom plate and are bent so as to wrap around at least a portion of the opposing plate. As described above, the present invention forms the catching portions by protruding both sides of the overlapping portions from both ends of the pin inserting portion and the screw fastening portion formed on both ends of the fuel tank fastening strap such that the sides are alternately protruded and the ends thereof are then folded, thus enabling fastening without welding means, so that various defects caused by welding are fundamentally eliminated. Accordingly, product durability and quality control can be ensured.</p> |
