<p>[Problem] To allow a desired transmission opportunity to be acquired in one-to-one communications. [Solution] A wireless communication apparatus according to an embodiment of the disclosure comprises an acquisition unit, a determination unit, a generation unit and a control unit. The acquisition unit acquires setting information that includes the setting values of first intervals, which indicate the transmission intervals of frames, and second intervals longer in time than the first intervals. A determination unit determines, on the basis of the setting information and information related to a protocol used in communications, whether a rate control is necessary with respect to the transmission/reception of the frames, and, if the rate control is necessary, the determination unit sets a token rate that is a rate of increasing the number of tokens each indicating when the transmission is possible. The generation unit generates the tokens in accordance with the token rate. If a storage quantity of the tokens is equal to or greater than a threshold value, the control unit performs a control such that the frames are transmitted.</p> |
