<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device which inhibits components from being damaged by an unexpected situation and inhibits work from being interrupted by an error in the recording device.SOLUTION: A recording device includes: a carriage which includes a recording head for making a record on a recorded medium and may move in a scan direction of the recording head; a swing member 112 including an engagement part 118 that may engage with the carriage, the swing member 112 which swings around a swing shaft 116 thereby being placed at a first position where the engagement part 118 engages with the carriage and a second position where the engagement part 118 separates from the carriage; and pressing means 142 which presses a pressed part 120 formed at the swing member 112 thereby swinging the swing member 112 from the second position to the first position. When the pressing means 142 presses the pressed part 120 in a state where displacement of the engagement part 118 is restricted, the swing shaft 116 may displace.</p> |
