<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The connecting terminal (50) has housing (1) that includes actuating element (3) coupled to base portion (2) and lockingly engaged in open and contact positions (6,7). An insulation-displacement contact (4) is configured to connect a cable, and latching device (8) is configured to contribute to interlocking of base portion and actuating element in open position. A latching device (9) is configured to contribute to another interlocking of base portion and actuating element in contact position. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Connecting terminal used for connecting cable. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# Since the connecting terminals having simple and reliable operation are made available where insulation-displacement contacts are provided for contacting the cables to be connected, the requisite safety distances between insulation-displacement contacts can be detected so as to be mutually offset in longitudinal direction of housing.
