PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish compatibility between suppression of image quality deterioration caused by discharge performance deterioration caused by face wetting and an increase in throughput.SOLUTION: When a cumulative value &Sgr;Nure of a wetting coefficient value is smaller than a wetting threshold THNure, recording is performed in a unit region in a recording mode in which an image is completed by performing scanning a first number of times. When the cumulative value &Sgr;Nure of the wetting coefficient value is equal to or larger than the wetting threshold THNure, the recording is performed in the unit region in a recording mode in which the image is completed by performing the scanning a second number of times larger than the first number of times. |
