PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a base-isolated structure which is excellent in workability and attenuation performance and temperature dependency of an equivalent shearing elastic modulus when formed into a vulcanized rubber.SOLUTION: A rubber composition for a base-isolated structure contains 10-80 pts.wt of a novolak type phenol-modified xylene resin with respect to 100 pts.wt of a rubber component containing a diene rubber, and preferably uses a combination of a natural rubber and a butadiene rubber as a diene rubber so as to effectively enhance attenuation performance of a vulcanized rubber and workability of a rubber composition in a balanced manner.
