<p>Indole derivs. having anti-inflammatory, anti-fever and analgetic properties, of fomula (in which R1 is H, halogen, alkyl or alkoxy group; R2 is an alkyl; R3 is H or an alkyl; and R4 is H, an alkoxy, alkyl or alkylamino group) are produced by benzoylating a phenylhydrazide of a carboxylic acid to obtain a compound of formula R4C6H4-N(R1C6H4CO)NHCOR (II) (in which R is H or an alkyl) and then reacting the product with R2-CO-CH2CH2-COOR3 to produce a compound of the formula from which the group -NH-COR is subsequently eliminated. Opt. the ester group -COOR3 can be saponified. Compounds of formulae (II) and (III) are claimed as novel.</p> |
