The invention relates to a fuel cell comprising: a cathode electrode (2), in turn comprising a catalyst layer (4), a current collector (6), a gas-diffusing layer (5) disposed between the catalyst layer and the current collector, and a plate (7) placed in contact with the current collector (6) and provided with through-holes; and an anode electrode (3), in turn comprising a catalyst layer (8), a current collector, a gas diffusing layer (9) disposed between the catalyst layer and the current collector, and a gas-distributing plate placed in contact with, or built into the current collector. The fuel cell also comprises a polymer membrane electrolyte (1) disposed between the cathode catalyst layer (4) and the anode catalyst layer (8). The gas-distributing plate allows the passive release of water from the anode through through-holes (15) that are sealed against the passage of gas by means of a hydrophilic film (11). |
