摘要 Disclosed is a method for treating the surface of a carbon fiber electrode for a redox-flow battery generating an oxygen functional group on the surface of the carbon fiber electrode. The present invention includes a step of cleaning the carbon fiber electrode; a step of generating oxygen functional group on the surface of the carbon fiber electrode by impregnating the carbon fiber electrode into liquid peroxide; and a step of drying the carbon fiber electrode. In the step of generating the oxygen functional group, peroxide can be heated or pressurized. The step of pressurizing the peroxide includes a step of inputting the carbon fiber electrode and peroxide into a pressure container; a step of arranging the pressure container inside a heating chamber; a step of setting the inside of the heating chamber at high-temperature atmosphere in order to evaporate the peroxide to increase the inner pressure of the pressure container. The present invention treats the surface of the carbon fiber electrode by impregnating the porous carbon fiber electrode utilized for electrochemical reaction and heating or pressurizing the peroxide, thereby effectively generating the oxygen functional group on the surface of the carbon fiber electrode. Additionally, the present invention can improve the efficiency of treating the surface of the carbon fiber electrode and productivity by improving the electrochemical performance of the porous carbon fiber electrode.
