<p>A dust collection device is provided with: a body (1) which has a suction opening (2) for sucking in dust; an electric blower (11) which generates suction air flow; a dust collection chamber (3) which receives dust sucked in from the suction opening (2); and an internal flow passage (16) which extends from the suction opening (2) into the body (1) and which comprises a duct (14) and a passage (15). The duct (14) is formed in a shape which causes the cross-sectional area of the duct (14) to gradually decrease from the suction opening (2) toward the passage (15) inside the body (1). As a result of this configuration, the dust collection device efficiently conveys dust to the dust collection chamber (3).</p>
