PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver capable of allowing a user to acquire detailed information, meaning of an interested word and a keyword made by a cast member or a piece of character information displayed on a screen during viewing a broadcast program by making a simple operation.SOLUTION: The digital broadcast receiver includes: keyword acquisition means that acquires a keyword from a piece of information in a broadcast program; a dictionary data storage storing dictionary data; search processing means that make a search on the dictionary data to acquire meaning and/or example of the keyword; keyword display means that displays the keyword on a screen; and search result display means that displays a search result on the screen.
