An oil cooler has: a core section (1) formed by stacking core plates (5); a bottom plate (2); a second bottom plate (3); and a top plate (4), and the above-described elements are brazed within a furnace. The core plates (5) each have an oil communication hole (13), a cooling water communication hole (14), and an oil outlet hole (15). The core plate (5) at the bottom end has a boss section (16) surrounding the cooling water communication hole (14), and also has a boss section (17) surrounding the oil outlet hole (15). Openings (32, 33) facing the boss sections (16, 17) are formed in the bottom plate (2). As a result of this configuration, a molten brazing material is sucked into the openings (32, 33) during brazing and does not collect excessively at the boss sections (16, 17). |
