The device has a metering unit (13) arranged in a downstream of a separator (12) for forming a reserve of fiber material with a downstream acceleration section to convey the fiber material to a suction rod conveyor (15). The suction rod conveyor establishes a strand and transports the strand in a transport direction (T) that is transversely directed to a conveying direction (F). A temporary storage unit (16) is arranged in the separator, and passes the fiber material at the metering unit. The temporary storage unit is associated with an additive supplying unit (17). An independent claim is also included for a method for feeding a strand machine of a tobacco processing industry. |
