PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermittent deflagration device using a rotary device having a rotating axis offset from on the same straight line and crossing at a central position.SOLUTION: An intermittent deflagration device 600 includes a rotary motion positive displacement device 660 at an exhaust port. The rotary motion positive displacement device 660 is a rotary device having a rotating axis offset from on the same straight line and crossing at a central position. An adjustable seal 664 forming an inlet port 662 can be moved substantially outside from a rotor of the device 660 in such a way that expanded gas from the intermittent deflagration device 600 may enter under a large initial volume. When a volume of an engaging rotor is increased and reaches up to a maximum volume position 668, the expanded gas is discharged out from a discharging region 672. Rotation of the device 660 drives a rotary motion positive displacement device 688 acting as a compressor in an intake region 684, and compressed intake gas is supplied into a combustion region 604 through a throttle.
