<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crucible which is capable of pressure-injecting a molten metal bit by bit into a casting mold even in a gravity-free state, e.g. in a space craft, is provided with such a thermal protection countermeasure as to allow for holding by hand, and allows for pushing a piston with one hand and replacing a tip nozzle.SOLUTION: In a crucible, a tip nozzle of a container which is composed of a heat-resistant alloy, e.g. a nickel-chromium steel to which tungsten is added, or a ceramic and is dividable into two parts with screws is arranged so as to be also replaceable with screws, and a pump type piston is provided in the other half-divided part of the container. A heat-resistant (thermally protective) gripping part is inserted externally into the tip of the rod of the piston to pressurize the piston with one hand, and a constriction is provided in the central part of the whole of the container for storing the molten metal so as to have no effects of the shape on the inside. The whole body of the crucible can be gripped with forceps having the same width as that of the constriction.</p> |
