<p>The machine's collecting end carrier blow pipe pivots around a horizontal shaft, on a longitudinal driving carriage. An adjustable roller is connected to an articulated guide-plate. The latter is moved by a vertical jack. Its shape permits the blowpipe collecting end to descend very near the free surface of the molten glass during the carriage's final pass towards the tank containing the molten glass, when the jack is in a low position. The blowpipe collecting end is immersed in the molten glass when the jack is in a high position after the end of the pass.</p> |
