<p>A cylindrical cheese is placed in a plastic cup provided with a bell-mouth to give an outwardly-splayed lip. The cup and cheese are covered with heat-shrinkable plastic film and the assembly passed through a heat-shrinking tunnel. The film, in shrinking, forms an air-tight seal on the lip of the cup, so that the cheese is protected from the atmosphere. The package provides excellent protection against handling and transport hazards, and provides an attractive shelf display.</p> |
