A zirconia-containing prosthesis for supplementing a defective portion of natural bone, wherein the prosthesis is discolored to a color approximate to natural bone by a heating treatment after a γ-ray sterilization treatment. The approximated color in an L*a*b* color system is 60 to 90 for the L* component, -5 to 10 for the a* component, and -5 to 10 for the b* component. The heat treatment is carried out at a maximum temperature of 100°C to 300°C. The prosthesis is a fixture, abutment, implanted crown, or the like of a dental implant for embedding in and osseobonding to natural bone. |
