Device and method for portion-wise discharge of fish from a storage tank (11) or the like. The device comprises a discharge conduit (12) from the storage tank (11), a curved section (13) of the discharge conduit (12) being pivotally journaled between an inner swivel joint (14a) and an outer swivel joint (14b). The curved pipe section (13) can be arranged in at least the following positions: a) a first position in which the curvature is horizontal and allows (open) passage from the storage tank (11) to sampling equipment; b) a second position in which the curvature is facing down in a U-shape and allows passage from the storage tank (11) to the lowermost point of the curved pipe section (13) but in which further passage is limited by the liquid level in the storage tank (11) relative to the lowermost point of the opening in outer swivel joint (14b); c) a third position in which the curvature faces up and in which passage past the top of the curved pipe section (13) is prevented in both directions. |
