by one or more computer systems of a social-networking system, determining, by querying a social graph of the social-networking system, a plurality of second users having a connection to a first user, the social graph comprising a plurality of nodes and edges connecting the nodes, the nodes comprising user nodes that are each associated with a particular user of the social-networking system; by the one or more computer systems of the social-networking system, providing a facepile for display on a display device of the first user, the facepile comprising a plurality of visual indications of the plurality of second users having a connection to the first user, each visual indication associated with one of the plurality of second users; and by the one or more computer systems of the social-networking system, providing a communications composer for display on the display device in response to a user-selection by the first user within the facepile, the communications composer comprising a user interface operable to provide communication between the first user and the plurality of second users associated with the visual indications displayed in the facepile. |
