A drive device (1000a) is provided with a control terminal connector (21), a charge/discharge switching circuit (28), a current limiter circuit (23), and a clamping switching element (31) which are disposed on a circuit board (20a). When four quadrants divided by two orthogonal virtual lines having the origin at the current limiter circuit (23) are defined, and a second quadrant, a third quadrant, and a fourth quadrant are defined in clockwise direction from a first quadrant defined in a region in which the control terminal connector (21) is disposed, the clamping switching element (31) is disposed in the second quadrant or the fourth quadrant.
