A brake capable of securing a sufficient torque capacity comprises: a plurality of operating plates coupled to a housing; and friction disks coupled to a brake hub and arranged alternately with the operating plates, wherein the operating plates and the friction disks are coupled through friction by receiving pressing force. The brake comprises: a retainer coupled to the housing to form a brake space and including a retainer wall extending radially outward toward the housing; a first piston disposed on one side of the retainer with respect to the retainer wall, forming a first piston chamber between the housing and itself, and moving in an axial direction by operating oil pressure supplied to the first piston chamber; a second piston disposed on the other side of the retainer with respect to the retainer wall, forming a second piston chamber between the retainer wall and itself, moving in an axial direction by operating oil pressure supplied to the second piston chamber, and pressing the operating plate; and a connection pipe passing through the first piston and the retainer wall to connect the first piston chamber to the second piston chamber.
|
