<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding member which shows a small friction coefficient and has excellent abrasion resistance in a lubricant-existing service condition, and to provide a sliding part in which the sliding member is disposed at least at a portion of a sliding surface. <P>SOLUTION: The sliding member is characterized as follows. A sliding surface sliding with at least a mating member includes a crosslinked polyrotaxane composed by crosslinking a cyclic molecule in a polyrotaxane including: the cyclic molecule; a linear molecule including the cyclic molecule in a skewer shape; and a blocking group arranged at both terminals of the linear molecule and preventing the elimination of the cyclic molecule.
