<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quenching apparatus in which flow velocity of quenching oil flowing in a basket with a workpiece housed therein can be increased. <P>SOLUTION: The quenching apparatus includes an oil vessel 1 for storing the quenching oil and immerses the basket 10 where the workpiece heated to the quenching temperature is housed into the quenching oil to rapidly cool the workpiece. The quenching apparatus further includes a duct 3 which has an inlet opening part 30 for taking in the quenching oil just below the basket 10 loaded in an elevating cage 20, and screws 4 which generate descending flow enabling the quenching oil to be taken in from the inlet opening part 30 and to flow from the upper part to the lower part of the basket 10. The duct 3 includes an extending cylindrical part 35 which extends upward to a position close to the lower end surface of the basket 10 and has the upper end part becoming the inlet opening part 30, and a blocking member 36 which extends outward from the outer circumference of the extending cylindrical part 35 and blocks the flowing of the quenching oil into the inlet opening part 30, the quenching oil having flown downward at the side of the elevating cage 20 and having reached below the elevating cage 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
