The present invention relates to an image display method and an apparatus for the same and, more specifically, to a method for controlling the direction of cameras according to the running speed of a vehicle and processing and displaying captured images on the basis of the controlled direction. The image display method according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: calculating the running speed of a vehicle; controlling the direction of at least two among a plurality of cameras to have a predetermined angle according to the calculated running speed; synthesizing and displaying images captured at the predetermined angle according to the calculated running speed, synthesizing and displaying images captured at the predetermined angle and virtual images according to the calculated running speed, or displaying images captured at the predetermined angle, an image captured by at least one different camera, and virtual images together. Therefore, synthesized images may be provided to a driver during high-speed driving and low-speed driving, thereby helping the driver to change lanes. |
