<p>A shopping trolley comprises a frame 1 having a plurality of wheels, a handle 5 and one or more baskets 7 mounted on the frame; wherein the frame includes a tray (9, figure 1) having an upwardly extending retainer 8 at a forward location thereof which forms a socket configured to receive and engage one or more rear wheels 11 of a pushchair 10 at a first location on the wheels circumference (figure 10); a clamp (12) moveable between a lower position (figure 6) and an upper position (figure 7); wherein in the lower position the clamp is located to engage the circumference of a wheel in use at a second location adjacent a position diametrically opposite to the first location to apply a movement resisting force sufficient to secure the wheel in the socket so that the pushchair is engaged to the trolley in use. The clamp may be guided in its vertical movement by means of tracks in the trolley frame. A spring biased foot pedal 17 may be used to raise the clamp to its upper position. The invention provides a trolley which may be pushed along in combination with a pushchair, stroller, buggy or the like.</p> |
