<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a split type forged member, which allows a first member (connecting rod body) and a second member (cap) to be accurately positioned, and allows the first member and the second member to be easily formed. <P>SOLUTION: In a split type connecting rod 20, the cap 25 is provided with a positioning recess 39, the connecting rod body 21 and the second member of the cap 25 are forged and are thus temporarily held by a temporary holding part, and the connecting rod body 21 is formed with a positioning projection 34 according to the positioning recess 39. In this way, while the connecting rod body 21 and the cap 25 are temporarily held, the positioning projection 34 is formed according to the positioning recess 39, and thereby the positioning projection 34 can be accurately formed relative to the positioning recess 39. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
