When the system is mounted, the couplings automatically couple with each other in a coupling direction. The couplings are automatically aligned with each other by an aligning device having a cone-like guide. The first coupling is placed relative to the holder while the second is placed relative to the support (2) allowing the couplings to be movable in a direction perpendicular to the coupling direction. The capability of simultaneous movement of the two coupling members compensates for the distance between the point where the duct penetrates the wall or ceiling and the desired mounting location of the hood on the wall or ceiling. The cone-like guide is implemented in a structurally simple and rugged manner, while also increasing the functional reliability.
