<p>An image forming apparatus (100) includes a cover (25), a switch (2,3) that opens or closes in conjunction with the cover (25), a load unit (12), a load power supply device (1b) that supplies power to the load unit (12), a relay (10,11) that passes power from the load power supply device (1b) to the load unit (12) in conjunction with the switch (2,3), and a controller (4) that detects opening or closing of the switch (2,3) and controls the load power supply device (1b) according to a detection result. When opening of the switch (2,3) is detected, the load power supply device (1b) is controlled to interrupt supplying power to the load unit (12) until closing of the switch (2,3) is detected.</p> |
