The disclosure relates to a method and a user device. The user device is configured for use in a system comprising at least a first network and a second network, wherein the second network is different from the first network. The system comprises a server system configured for assuming a verification state and a service providing state. The user device comprises a processor that is programmed for selecting a first network and transmitting a network operation verification signal to the server system in the service availability verification state of the server system to obtain a verification response from the server system. The processor generates a service unavailability indication for the service over the first network in response to a failed result for the verification response from the server system and selects a second network, different from the first network, in response to generating the service unavailability indication. The user device may access the service from the server system over the second network.
