PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retractable writing utensil following a conventional retraction mechanism, and allowing easy visual recognition of retraction operation of a pen point part and a retraction state of the pen point part from a tip opening part of a shaft cylinder, with a simple structure.SOLUTION: In this retractable writing utensil, a plurality of window parts allowing visual recognition of the inside of the shaft cylinder, each consisting of a through hole or a transparent part are formed in different positions in the shaft direction in the shaft cylinder. A display part is visually recognized from the window part which is positioned rearward in the shaft direction as compared to the window part positioned on a shaft cylinder endmost side in a state in which the pen point part retracts in the shaft cylinder and is positioned on a shaft cylinder tip side of the plurality of window parts in a state in which the pen point part projects, wherein the display part is integrally provided in an operation body or is provided in an interlocking member interlocking with operation of the operation body and moving backward and forward along the shaft direction. |
