Food packaging container manufacturing process

A process for making a container (11) which is suitable for containing food in which a tray (13) for containing ovenable food is provided with a printable cover. The container is made by removeably bonding a lid (23) to the tray in order to seal in the content of the tray; removeably bonding a printable cover (15) to the lid and printing upon the printable cover (15) such that a first set of print is viewable at an outer surface of the printable cover (15) and a second set of print is viewable at an inner surface of the printable cover (15). The process is designed to ensure that the container (11) can withstand the heat required to heat the food in the packaging container and that fewer materials are used in the creation of a packaging container than would otherwise be required.
