<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheelchair in which the height of a seat can be adjusted according to the stature of a handicapped person or the height of the bed.SOLUTION: A wheelchair includes: a seat 5 which can be divided into two parts; a vehicle body which has both sidewalls; opening/closing drive means 9 for the seat 5 which laterally moves each of the two parts of the seat 5 dividable into two parts in such a direction that they separate or come in contact with each other to open or close the seat; a holding plate 10 for the opening/closing drive means 9 for the seat 5 which is provided on each of both sidewalls; and drive means 12 which moves the seat 5 upward or downward relative to the vehicle body.</p> |
