摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distance measuring system capable of obtaining distance information with high reliability without depending on the intensity of a light source or ambient light. <P>SOLUTION: A distance measuring system comprises: an irradiation device; a solid-state imaging device; and a calculation unit. The solid-state imaging device receives reflected light of irradiation light applied at a first irradiation timing in a first light reception period and a second light reception period, and receives the reflected light of the irradiation light applied at a second irradiation timing respectively in a third light reception period and a fourth light reception period. The calculation unit calculates a distance to a ranging object by using the number of photoelectrons obtained in from the first light reception period to the fourth light reception period. The first light reception period and the third light reception period contain a time from when the reflected light reaches the solid-state imaging device to when the intensity of the reflected light peaks. The second light reception period and the fourth light reception period contain a time from when the intensity of the reflected light reaching the solid-state imaging device decreases to when the reflected light finishes reaching the solid-state imaging device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p>
