<p>The device has a middle electrode (2) guided through an insulating body (3), and a housing (4) with a metallic housing body (5) provided at an end, where the housing body surrounds a section of the insulating body. A series oscillating circuit excites high frequency of the electrode. A section of the insulating body has an electric conductive coating (6) i.e. nitride ceramic coating, which exhibits thickness of less than 20 micrometers. The insulating body is projected from the housing body at a combustion chamber-sided end and partially covers the housing body.</p> |
