<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress image quality deterioration of a formed image even if there is a surface tilt of a polygon mirror. <P>SOLUTION: A dot size determination section calculates on which reflection surface a light beam LB of each line of dot image data is reflected, and assigns a reflection surface number to each line. When a line pitch between a line number i-1 and a line number i is narrower than a normal pitch, the dot size determination section sets a dot size of the line number i smaller by a predetermined value than a normal dot size. When the line pitch between the line number i-1 and the line number i is wider than the normal pitch, the dot size determination section sets the dot size of the line number i larger by a predetermined value than the normal dot size. An exposure control section receives information regarding the dot size of each line, and according to the information, determines a driving signal pulse width, a driving voltage, etc. of a light source, causing the light beam to be generated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
