<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel game machine capable of sufficiently demonstrating a performance effect by a performance button such as a chance button. <P>SOLUTION: As a period until an AT game is started, an AT activation preparation period (J) for "1,500 (times)" to "2,000 (times)" is provided. In the event that a specific small prize symbol combination (cherry or water melon) is won, performance urging pressing-down operation of the performance button is performed. When no pressing-down operation of the performance button is performed without following the urging, subtraction of the period of "1,500 (times)" on winning the cherry and "100 (times)" on winning the water melon from the AT activation preparation period (J) is executed. When the pressing-down operation of the performance button is performed following the urging, subtraction of two times of period such as "3,000 (times)" on winning the cherry and "200 (times)" on winning the water melon from the AT activation preparation period (J) is executed, respectively.
