<p>Prodn. of trioxan from aqs. formaldehyde solns. by heating in the pres. of (1) an acid catalyst, (2) an oily component (3) an anti-foaming agent and (4) one or more metal salts, and distilling off the trioxan. The anti-foam system is not used up during the rea. and retains its efficiency over many months continuous working.</p> |
