<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a virus monitoring system etc. suitable for a medical facility. <P>SOLUTION: A monitoring terminal 100 periodically executes a virus scan on a medical diagnostic device 101 which is not changeable nor modifiable, by remote connection, and manages the processing result and information of a virus definition file by a maintenance server 300. The monitoring terminal 100 displays a message to confirm whether or not the virus scan is executable on the medical diagnostic device 101 before executing the scan, and executes the virus scan if it is possible. The terminal has a function to turn off the power of the medical diagnostic device 101 after executing the virus scan, and thus can execute the virus scan by taking into consideration of a load of the medical diagnostic device 101. Also, processing of update and deletion of the virus definition file of the monitoring terminal 100 can be performed from the maintenance server 300 in response to a request by a maintenance terminal 301.
