The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for forming a pattern and, more particularly, to an apparatus and a method for forming a pattern on the side of an optical sheet while maintaining the thickness of the optical sheet, such as a light guide plate, constant. According to an aspect of the present invention, provided is a method for transferring the pattern which includes the steps of: mounting the optical sheet on a base plate; dropping a fixing plate which is installed on the upper side of the base plate; fixing the fixing plate to be separated from the upper side of the optical sheet with a preset interval by a guide block whose height is larger than the thickness of the optical sheet and which is extended from the base plate to the upper side; transferring the pattern on the side of the optical sheet by a pattern transferring unit; and uniformly controlling the thickness of the optical sheet by allowing the deformation of the optical sheet by the pattern transfer with a preset interval for the pattern transfer by the fixing plate. |
