<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing, in a simple constitution, the bias of a developer when a developing device is removed, and suppressing image defects and the lock of the developing device. <P>SOLUTION: A representative constitution of an image forming apparatus related to the present invention comprises: a rotatable developing sleeve 44 which carries a two-component developer including toner and carrier and transfers it to a developing area opposite to a photosensitive drum 1; and a magnet 45 provided within the developing sleeve 44, including a plurality of magnetic poles, and including an area for constraining the two-component developer and an area for not constraining the two-component developer. A developing device removable from an image forming apparatus body is characterized in that the magnet 45 rotates to a position by which the two-component developer within the developing device is constrained when the developing device is removed from the image forming apparatus body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
