<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a natural and three-dimensional panoramic image without generating any feeling of incompatibility when it is viewed from the eyes of human being corresponding to a visual point, a visual line and a field angle in a panoramic image generation method and a panoramic image generation program. <P>SOLUTION: A circular polar coordinate image 41 about an object obtained by a CCD via a fish-eye lens is input, and a virtual fish-eye lens shaped in the same way as a fish-eye lens in a virtual three-dimensional coordinate space is obtained, and an image obtained by inversely projecting the circular polar coordinate image 41 on the virtual fish-eye lens is mapped so that an inversely projected mapping image 42 is obtained. Then, visual point coordinates in the virtual three-dimensional coordinate space are calculated, and at least a portion of the inversely projected mapping image 42 is converted into a plane development image 43 when it is viewed from the visual point coordinates by performing the interpolation processing of image information so that a panoramic image is generated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
