1312139 Treatment of soils with high salt content HENKEL & CIE GmbH 3 Dec 1970 [4 Dec 1969] 57405/70 Heading C1B A process for improving difficultly cultivatable soil having a high sodium chloride content, comprises measuring the electrolytic conductivity of said soil and subsequently incorporating into said soil an amount of colloidal silicic acid or a product having a content of colloidal silicic acid, sufficient to reduce the electrolytic conductivity of said soil to below 10 mS. Other ingredients which may be incorporated into the soil are alkali metal carbonates, nitrates or phosphates, magnesium carbonate, zinc formate or acetate, calcium superphosphate or carbonate, acrylic or crotonic acid or salt thereof, guanidine, urea, or carriers such as peat, pumice, trass, vermiculite, perlite or foamed plastic. |
