The present invention relates to an apparatus for driving an H bridge motor. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the apparatus for driving the H bridge motor includes: a motor unit which generates forward or reverse driving force according to the flow of current; an H bridge circuit including a forward driving switching unit which supplies forward current to the motor unit according to a control signal, and a reverse driving switching unit which operates alternatively with the forward driving switching unit and supplies reverse current to the motor unit; and a pair of driving switch protection units which are connected between a contact point, which is located between the motor unit and an H bridge circuit, and a ground, respectively, and bypasses surge current which is generated in the motor unit by the control signal. |
