<p>The present invention relates to the debit and credit card payment processing by collecting the Personal Identification Number of the cardholder through his/her own mobile phone. The only requirement for the mobile phone is a GSM signal whereby the telco sends the request to enter the PIN number using USSD session. This session is securely transmitted using GSM encryption or 3DES encryption process. Once received, the payment processing server sends the information through SSL encryption for validation of the information from the bank network and card issuer. The process will allow for a quick and mass market usage of PIN based card whether its debit or credit card without compromising security process. It is specific to the processing of Personal Identification Number transmission to and from the issuing bank without comprising the security and integrity of the cardholders’information and bank network. <Figure 1></p> |
