<p>The road repair method, particularly for repairing potholes, involves forming a recess of a predetermined size, inserting a preformed plug 100A into the recess and bonding the plug to the road surface. The road and plug may be formed of asphalt, and both may have the same shape, such as a cylindrical profile, and the plug may be assembled from many preformed segments 102. A rotary cutting device 10 which may be mounted to a vehicle can be used to form the recess, and the device may include a vacuum 60 to remove spoil or debris. The vehicle may include a plug store, and have an insertion mechanism which may use suction to hold the plug. A bonding or sealing agent can be applied to the plug block and recess, and may be provided in a rupturable bag. Also claimed are a road repair vehicle and a preformed plug.</p> |
