<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engagement system capable of suppressing occurrence of erroneous engagement. <P>SOLUTION: An engagement system 5 includes a cam type engagement mechanism 6, a meshing type engagement mechanism 7, a fork 25 which connects a movable cam member 10 of the cam type engagement mechanism 6 with a sleeve 21 of the meshing type engagement mechanism 7, and a single actuator 8 capable of operating the movable cam member 10 and the sleeve 21 simultaneously so that the meshing type engagement mechanism 7 comes to be engagement state while the cam type engagement mechanism 6 is in released state, meanwhile the meshing type engagement mechanism 7 comes to be released state while the cam type engagement mechanism 6 is in engagement state.
