<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal separator capable of effectively draining and evaporating dew condensation water generated in a rotor chamber, and achieving maintenance-free of a dew condensation water management. <P>SOLUTION: In this centrifugal separator 1 including: a motor 8; a rotor 4; a bowl 2 for forming a rotor chamber 3; a door 5; a control device 18 for controlling the rotation of the motor 8; cooling devices (7a-7c) for cooling the rotor chamber 3; a drain (10, 11) for draining dew condensation water in the bowl 2; and a brake resistance 35 consuming regenerative energy generated in decelerating the rotor 4, the brake resistance 35 is fixed to an evaporation dish 30 for receiving dew condensation water drained from the drain to be tightly fitted thereto to heat the evaporation dish 30. The drain is arranged with a valve 19 capable of changing over opening to closing and vice versa, and drainage of the dew condensation water from the drain to the evaporation dish 30 is controlled. The control device 18 controls opening/closing of the valve 19 in response to the operating condition of the rotor 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
