摘要 The present invention relates to an optical communication module controlling the temperature by using a thermoelectric cooling device and a manufacturing method thereof. The optical communication module includes: one or more metal patterns formed on a surface of the cooling plate of the thermoelectric cooling device; a laser diode mounted on one of the metal patterns; a monitor photodiode which is mounted on the other metal pattern to monitor the optical signal change output from the laser diode. Accordingly, the laser diode is directly mounted on a surface of the cooling plate of the thermoelectric cooling device to minimize the distance between the laser diode and the thermoelectric cooling device. Accordingly, the present invention can prevent the degradation of the temperature control property of the laser diode due to the long distance between the laser diode and the thermoelectric cooling device.
